A high-voltage electroscope is a tool used to check whether high-voltage lines and power equipment are charged. It is a *basic** appliance commonly used in power distribution rooms.High-voltage electroscope generally uses glow as an indication signal. The new type of high-voltage electroscope also relies on audio or language as an indication. The high-voltage electroscope is composed of metal working contacts, small neon bubbles, capacitors, handles, etc.Electroscope is one of the important technical measures to ensure the safety of staff on electrical equipment with total or partial power outages.
Combined with actual work, stricter and more detailed regulations have been formulated for power inspection, and good results have been achieved in practical applications. The relevant regulations for electricity inspection are introduced as follows:
1. The high-voltage electroscope put into use must be an electroscope that has passed the electrical test, and the high-voltage electroscope must be tested regularly to ensure its good performance.
2. To use a high-voltage electroscope, you must wear high-voltage insulated gloves and insulated shoes, and have special supervision.
3. Before using the electroscope, you should first check whether the electroscope is good. In addition to being effective, you should also check that the alarm is correct on the live equipment with the appropriate voltage level before you can go to the equipment that needs to be grounded for power verification. It is forbidden to use the electroscope with the wrong voltage level for power verification, so as not to draw wrong judgments during on-site tests.
4. When inspecting electricity, you must concentrate and not do things that have nothing to do with the electricity inspection, such as connecting to the machine, etc., so as to avoid false or missed inspections.
5. The power inspection of the line should be carried out phase by phase. When the circuit breaker or isolation switch or other maintenance equipment used for the connection is inspected, the power should be checked separately on both sides of the incoming and outgoing lines.
6. When conducting power inspections on multi-layer power lines erected in the same tower, the a priori low voltage, the a priori high voltage, the a priori lower layer, and the a priori upper layer shall be used.
7. The power test on the capacitor bank should be carried out after the discharge is completed.
8. During the power test, let the metal working contacts at the top of the electroscope gradually approach the charged part, until the neon bubble emits light or an audio alarm signal is sent, and do not directly contact the charged part of the electrical equipment. The electroscope should not be affected by the neighboring charged body, so as to send out the wrong signal.
9. If you need to use a ladder during power inspection, a firm ladder with insulating material should be used, and necessary anti-skid measures should be taken, and the use of metal ladders is prohibited.
10. After the power test is complete, the grounding operation should be carried out immediately. After the power test, the grounding should not be carried out in time due to the interruption of the power test. If you need to continue the operation, you must re-verify the power.
